L’Ile de Gorée ou tout simplement Gorée est à la fois une ile de l’Océan atlantique nord située dans la baie de Dakar est l’une des 19 communes d’arrondissements.
Elle a une superficie de 0,182km2, cotes de 3km et compte une population de 700 habitants.
Une Ile continentale chargée d’histoire et de beaucoup d’émotion.
Elle fut visite par l’ancien président des Etats Unis d’Amérique Barak Obama en 2013 et du président de l’Afrique du sud Nelson Mandela qui est venu deux fois sur l’iles 1 juin 1962 et le 7, 8 et le 9 novembre 1991 .
l’ile de Gorée est une zone touristique à découvrir absolument.
